Biography

Dr. Adel Zghibi is assistant-professor of hydrogeology and water engineering at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunisia, Department of Geology. In 2004, he graduated with a degree in rural and water engineering from the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia. In 2007, he obtained a master’s degree in hydraulic engineering and then received his PhD in rural engineering, water and forest in 2013. He is a researcher in water resources management at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunisia. His research is mainly focused on modelling flow and mass transport processes in heterogeneous porous and fractured media. He is also interested in the complex interactions that occur on the terrestrial landscape involving water and nutrient cycles, and specifically how hydrological processes interact with and control these cycles. The study of integrated hydro-geochemistry cycles is challenging due to the numerous processes and linkages that govern the dynamics of individual element cycles. He is the author of several scientific papers refereed in international journals and articles in journals, book chapters, specialised monographs and proceedings about hydrology and water engineering. He is a reviewer for several international journals.
