Biography

Dr. Yousef Alosairi is a research scientist in the field of coastal processes including, hydrodynamics, water quality and sediment transport. Studying those aspects by utilising a variety of numerical models with different complexity settings and conducting extensive field surveys. Over the past decade, he has developed and applied different models focused on the Arabian Gulf region particularly Kuwait Bay (Northwest of the Gulf). In addition to research projects, Dr Yousef is also involved in various consultancy works within the Gulf region which are mainly focused on waterfront developments and associated environmental impact assessments. He supports and supervises undergraduate and graduate students. Whenever possible, getting involved in a wide range of public engagement activities to increase the environmental awareness.
