Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the American University of Beirut
Kamel Ghali, PhD is a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the American University of Beirut. He has earned his Master and Ph.D. from Kansas State University, USA. He was awarded two postdoctoral fellowships, one at KSU in the field of air quality and indoor air velocity measurement and the other at Case Western Reserve University School of Engineering in the field of Biomedical Engineering working on human body modeling. He also worked at Dar Al-Handasah Consultants, Shair and Partners in Beirut as a senior mechanical engineer for two years on large scale projects. His research area is in heat and moisture transport in thermal systems, thermal comfort, Renewable energy, air quality, personalized ventilation, carbon capture and HVAC systems.
