Serge P. Besanger, PhD, teaches strategy and economics at HEC Paris. He is a consulting expert to the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC. A former acting director within the International Monetary Fund, Dr Besanger combines theory with hands-on business experience to provide on-target economic outlooks and guidance for financial institutions and corporations. He served as President and CEO of Fortune-100 Emerson Electric's Leroy-Somer SEA and as a Senior Economist at the IMF, where he made recommendations on macro-economic and fiscal policy and exchange rates. A highly-regarded speaker, Dr Besanger has provided economic and financial insights at hundreds of engagements over the past 25 years and has been featured on Bloomberg, CNBC, CNBC-Asia.
