Join us for a talk by Prof. Sebastian Fixson and Prof. Tucker Marion on how to leverage the perfect storm of digitalization and collaborative culture.

Over the past decade, the world of innovation has fundamentally changed. Two major forces – digitalization and a collaborative culture – have formed a ‘perfect storm’, that is substantially expanding the landscape of possible innovation processes and approaches. In this new innovation landscape, we have identified four different innovation modes – “specialist,” “venture, “community,” and “network.” Each of these modes comes with its own advantages and but also managerial challenges. Some of these modes cross boundaries between firms, others employ self-selection as motivation and the decision making mechanism. In this talk, we illustrate how firms and non-profit organizations across various industries can successfully employ these new innovation modes to improve their innovation effectiveness, and ultimately improve their competitiveness.
