Biography

Faisal Alobaid is an assistant professor, Computer Science and Information Systems Dept., College of Business Studies,at The Public Authority of Applied Education and Training, Kuwait. Dr. received his PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Syracuse University (2012), his MSc in Intelligent Systems from University of Southern California (2005), and his BSc in Computer Engineering from University of Massachusetts (2000). His research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Decision Theory, Agent/Multi-Agent Systems, and Robotics. He also conducted research in Bioinformatics, which lead to publications in the field. Faisal served on many technical committees including the 12th Arab Open Robotics Championship (2018), H.H. Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Informatics Award, and was the head of technical committee for the 1st Arab Robotics Contest (2006). He co-founded Kuwait Robotics Center (2002) where he presented many lectures and workshops that earned him recognition from the Ministry of Education, Kuwait University, and KISR. He also represented Kuwait in many international robotic events. Dr. Alobaid is a member of IEEE and AAAI.
