Dr. Laura Foster

Biography

The environment is one of Laura’s great passions, she has been working with the Marine Conservation Society since 2013. Prior to MCS, she worked at a number of institutions across the world researching the impacts of climate change after gaining her PhD at the University of St. Andrews. Laura decided to leave academia to do something more hands-on and see how we can campaign for change in the here and now. Having worked in the corporate sector, Laura understands the challenges faced in making changes in large companies and organisations. One of her greatest privileges at MCS is to see how our work impacts and improves the environment and people’s lives for the better. People feel very close to the sea and it’s great for us as a charity to help to achieve that connection.
