Overview

Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), in collaboration with the British Embassy; Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS); Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) and Kuwait University (KU), is holding a three-days symposium focusing on marine litter and waste management practices and strategies being developed in Kuwait.

The sessions will delve into the current understanding of marine litter in Kuwait and future research requirements, economic and societal impact of plastic pollution, progress towards a circular economy, governance and waste management strategies and the role of NGOs in education, outreach and societal change.
