Beyond Scarcity: Water Security in the Middle East and North Africa

This talk will discuss the MENA Development report focusing on water security in the Middle East and North Africa. The discussion will also explore the ways water security can contribute to the region’s economic, social and environmental well-being, and help pave the path to peace and stability.

Carmen Nonay is an experienced leader in international development with more than 20 years of experience in the World Bank. She currently manages the World Bank’s MNA Water Sector, overseeing a $3.5 billion portfolio, and is familiar with a range of WBG instruments for public and private infrastructure, financial and social sectors.
